The Carriage House Nature Center invites visitors to learn about local wildlife and to encourage nature discovery for the purpose of fostering care and respect for our natural world. Exhibits and programs are offered to schools, scouts, day cares, or other groups as well as individual visitors looking for a fun and educational experience. The Nature Center houses live animals and hands on nature displays as well as a spacious area for program presentations.

The Carriage House Nature Center birds of prey are on display when the Nature Center is open. These birds all have permanent injuries that prevent them from being released into the wild. They are now wildlife ambassadors and are used for education programs at the park and other locations throughout the area.

For more information about the Carriage House Nature Center or to request a program, call 330-877-6652. The Nature Center is open every Saturday and Sunday from the second weekend in May thru October. The hours are 1pm to 4pm Saturday and 1pm to 5pm Sunday.
